Frequently Asked Questions

  • Cabinet refacing is a home renovation technique where the exterior of existing cabinets is updated without replacing the entire cabinet structure. In this process, the cabinet doors, drawer fronts, and hardware (like handles and hinges) are replaced, while the cabinet framework is covered with a veneer or laminate to match the new doors and drawers. This approach gives the cabinets a fresh look and feel without the cost and complexity of a full cabinet replacement.

Refacing is popular because it’s generally less expensive and quicker than a complete remodel, while still giving a space—usually a kitchen or bathroom—a significant visual update. Additionally, it can be more eco-friendly, as it uses the existing cabinet structures and reduces waste.
